Mrs Lucy Bone
Headteacher & EYFS/ KS1 teacher. PPA cover in KS2.
I was inspired to become a teacher because...
Growing up, my dad was a Head teacher and my mum was a Deputy Head. They both worked extremely hard and I saw how rewarding teaching could be. I even remember helping my mum with her marking on the weekends...teaching is a part of who I am and I absolutely love it!
My favourite teacher was...
Mrs Brierley, my junior 1 teacher. She was everything I wanted to be: kind, caring, funny, clever and a very engaging teacher. Other children in the class wanted to be like her too, but I was so lucky because as well as being my teacher, she was also my mum. If I am half the teacher my mum was, I will be extremely proud.
Mrs sarah meyerhoff
EYFS & KS1 Teacher
I was inspired to become a teacher because…
I loved playing 'teachers' as a child and started volunteering a local primary when I started college. When I saw the dedication and passion that the teachers had I was hooked, I knew then that it was the career for me. It is such a privilege to watch the children develop, learn and mature throughout the years knowing that I have been a small part of their journey.
My favourite teacher was…
My secondary school PE teacher, Mrs Patterson. She was kind, funny and could always tell when we needed a listening ear. She was also my netball coach and the person who kickstarted my love for netball that I still play today, for that I will always be grateful to Mrs P!
MRS NATASHA HAND
EYFS & KS1 TEACHER
I was inspired to become a teacher because…
When I was a little girl I absolutely loved school and when I got home from school I always played teachers! I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember, it has always been my career choice! I love working with children, getting to know their personalities and what makes them tick! It is a real privilege to play such a big part in a child’s life, helping them to succeed and giving them a wonderful school life experience.
My favourite teacher was…
Miss McTear my Year 1 teacher. She was warm and friendly, always kind and willing to listen. Miss McTear had beautiful long dark hair that she always wore in a plait and I thought she was an actual Princess! She really made learning fun and I enjoyed going to school every day.
Miss Brownsord
KS2 Lead and SENCO
I was inspired to become a teacher because…
I have always wanted to work with children, and during my Level 3 childcare course decided I wanted to pursue a career in teaching. I love it when children have that ‘lightbulb moment’ and knowing I’m making a difference to the children’s lives.
My favourite teacher was…
Mrs Heaton, my nursery teacher. She was a huge figure throughout my primary school and everyone saw her as a loving, bubbly lady who always brought a smile to your face.
