St Cuthbert’s
Catholic Primary School, Windermere
Welcoming All Faiths (Ages 3 to 11)

Head: Mr Peter Harrison

"Help one another.  This is what we do with all our hearts."

St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary is situated in the village of Windermere close to one of it’s parish churches Our Lady of the Lake and St Herbert. The school is the only Catholic Primary School within the National Park of the Lake District.

I am proud to be the Headteacher of a school where all staff know every child’s needs in detail and where staff are totally committed to every child’s progress and development.

St Cuthbert’s is fortunate to have an active parent and pupil support with Pupil School Council, a Parent Council and PFA (Parent Friends of St Cuthbert’s) all of who sustain the school community by organising fund raising events, and taking a lead in contributing to many aspects of school life. Please visit the newsletter page to keep up to date with more recent events and to acquire further information and school events about school life log on to the website page dedicated to the ‘PFA’, Parent Council and pupil School Council.

In September 2014 the school underwent an Ofsted Inspection. Ofsted said:

The rich curriculum provides pupils with a wide range of learning activities, including visits that greatly broaden pupils’ experiences and promote good progress and personal development.  Pupils are respectful of and considerate to each other. They enjoy school and feel safe and are cared for well.   Pupils’ behaviour in lessons and around the school is good. They show good attitudes to learning and have opportunities to take on responsibilities.
